Serving clients every day has a physical, emotional and spiritual impact on professionals in the beauty industry. Simply put, it can be draining. I sat down with Rebecca Beardsley, best selling author of “Self-Care for Hairdressers,” to get her tips for for a longer, happier career. Rebecca has been in the hair industry for over twenty-five years, and as salon owner of “ShineForth,” she’s learned a thing or two about remaining balanced while building a career.

Rebecca’s Tips:

As the founder of “Haircuts with Heart” and the CEO of “Salon Style Box,” Rebecca has been a mentor to many hairstylists and educators nationally. What I always take away from the wisdom she shares, is that we all really need to believe in ourselves and understand our value. If we don’t value ourselves, no one else will.

When I asked this hair guru one last tidbit of advice to all of us out there, she shared “honor and develop your instincts, they will serve you well.”
