Double Booking

Hey Guys!

If you want to double book an appointment during another appointment StyleSeat’s Scheduler gives you the freedom to book an appointment whenever you want!

Lets say you have an appointment for a color but you want to squeeze in a haircut while the color is setting. Simply go to your Scheduler and find the Color appointment.

Then click on the time you want to start the Haircut Service. Fill our the information for the appointment and you will see it appear right next to your original appointment.

You can also set up your services with Power Booking so that they automatically leave padding time when you or clients book them online. Find out How Power Booking Works Here!

Here’s how to use our professional-only app!

Getting Started

First go to styleseat.com on a computer and create a profile.

Download the App

Now that you’ve got your profile all set up, you can install the app on your mobile device. The app is available for MOST Android devices. Search for “StyleSeat” (one word) in the App Store and tap it to install it for FREE.

Please Note: If you’re unable to download the app on your device please write to us at info@styleseat.com with the name of your device to let us know.

Open the app on your phone or tablet and log in using your same login info from styleseat.com (wait for your info to sync). 

Book an Appointment

Tap the “Schedule” icon at the bottom.

       

Your app is synced directly with your computer, so anything you do here, will be reflected on your computer as well.  You can check your availability by tapping the left or right arrows in the upper right corner of your screen OR on the left side of your screen you can see a monthly (left icon) or weekly (right icon) view. Learn More.

       

Getting started!

To book an appointment tap the calendar icon with the + sign in the upper right corner. 

       

Tap on the day/time you’d like to book the appointment. To switch days scroll using the arrows below. When you find the right day, tap it.

          

Tap the time you want to book the appointment for. 

Fill Out your Client Info

Choose the client you want to book by taping in the “Client” box.

                

NOTE: If you haven’t added your client info yet, tap the client icon on the bottom of the screen and then tap the icon shaped like a person with a plus sign in the upper right corner to create a new client

               

Add your client info and hit “save”

                 

Choose the Service

Next choose the service that you’re booking by tapping on the “Service” box. The price and time will auto-fill. Tap “+add another service” to book multiple services for the same client. You can also add notes to your appointment card that are visible only to you.

Book Appointment

When you’re all set, tap “Book Appointment” at the bottom or in the upper right corner of the screen to book your appointment. 

Tap the “Activity” icon at the bottom of your screen to see your newly booked appointment. Now StyleSeat can be everywhere you are!!

Scheduling for Students

StyleSeat gives you an awesome FREE scheduling tool! Here’s how it works:

StyleSeat’s scheduling tool lets you manage your appointments and send auto client follow-up emails to help you maintain great relationships and keep them coming back for more!

Even if you don’t have online booking turned on, your services will say “Call to book”, and clients can call your school’s number listed on your profile. When you receive your schedule from your school, be sure add each appointment in your cal, and add client info if you have it!

If you have a school receptionist they most likely won’t give up personal client info. However, if your friends and family are coming to you at your school’s salon, then you can get their personal info and add it to your client tab! That way you can start to manage appointments relationships, AND build a solid client rolodex while you’re still in school!

Here’s what you get if you use us for scheduling:

Clients who are entered in through our Scheduler will also be automatically added to your Client List. 

Set Your Availability!

When are you working?

Set your availability so your clients know when you are available and can book online. First go to “My Profile” and then click “Edit Profile” and click the tab labeled “Availability”.

Set up 

Check the days that you work and fill in your hours. When clients go to book appointments they will only be able to book within your available hours. (Note: you can still book appointments internally during “off” hours in your Schedule)

Lunch break

There’s an optional space to block off breaks and lunches. Be sure to fill this out so clients see you as unavailable during this time.

Take some time off!

If you want to block off a day that you usually work you can go to your “Schedule” and select the day you would like to block off. If you click on your calendar and the appointment box will pop:

Click the teal link that reads: “Block Off Personal Time”.

Now you can set the hours of the day/time you want to block off. Click the “Save” button. Your personal time will be blocked off in teal on your calendar as shown below:

NOTE

We don’t have customizable availability yet, but we plan to add it soon. If you want to open up a day that you usually have off, a work-around would be open up the extra day you want to work in your “Availability” tab and and then manually block off that day with personal time for any other weeks that you won’t be available that day.

Import Your Clients!

Now we make it easy for you to move your business over to StyleSeat! We will add your clients to your account for you, Just send a file with your client information to info@styleseat.com and we’ll take care of the rest!

Want to import your appointments too?

No problem! You can find step-by-step instructions on how to export your clients and appointments. All you have to do is click the “import” link in your client tab:

Follow the instructions below, or click for step-step instructions on how to export your clients! 

Then email your exported file to info@styleseat.com, and leave the rest to us! We will import your clients and appointments for you so you don’t have to enter them one-by-one. Awesome, right?
